monkey trouble

recently, i had the pleasure of rewatching one of the best films about a friendship between a little girl and her monkey. really though, monkey trouble has it all: comedy, tragedy, action, gypsies, etc. the cinematography is beautiful, and the risky camera angles are truly avant garde. how thora birch didn't receive oscar recognition for this performance is truly beyond me. if you don't believe me just check out this final scene where eva and dodger are reunited.
